Full-Time Synthetic Flight & Ground School Instructor (PC-24 Platform)

The organization seeks a highly experienced aviation professional to join its global Business Aviation Training team as a Synthetic Flight & Ground School Instructor. This pivotal full-time role is based at the newest state-of-the-art training centre located in Vienna (Schwechat), Austria.
The initial team will play a crucial role in establishing operations at the newly opened 8,000-square-meter facility. This purpose-built centre currently operates five cutting-edge Full Flight Simulators (FFS) including the G550, PH100/300, Global 7500, and Global 6000 Vision, and is designed for future expansion, with capacity for up to nine FFS bays. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering the most advanced pilot training experience in Central Europe, significantly increasing accessibility for business aviation clients.

The successful Synthetic Flight & Ground School Instructor is expected to transform their existing professional experience into world-class expertise, specifically on the PC-24 platform. Instructors lead clients through comprehensive training programs, serving as subject matter experts in both synthetic flight instruction and ground school modules, while benefiting from a site-based position that minimizes work-related travel.

Primary Responsibilities
The Synthetic Flight & Ground School Instructor’s duties include, but are not limited to, the following core responsibilities:
- Assuring the quality delivery of client training in accordance with qualification requirements, encompassing classroom systems, performance ground school, and in-simulator pilot training.
- Monitoring and assuring continuous compliance with all relevant authorizations and qualifications.
- Continuously striving to increase personal Instructor qualifications, as required by the program mandates.
- Conducting detailed and high-quality pre-flight and post-flight briefings.
- Suggesting constructive changes to curriculum and courseware materials to enhance the clients’ overall experience.
- Assisting the Lead Instructor with assigned duties, when requested.
- Assuring all paperwork and electronic records are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Providing single client seat support on occasion, as required.
- Delivering portions of both initial and recurrent ground school instruction.
- Performing any other duties as assigned by the Training Manager.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- A valid EASA license is required.
- A minimum of 500 hours of single pilot experience is mandatory.
- The capability to read, speak, and converse in English at a high level.
- Must maintain a full-time work pattern commitment.
- Basic computer proficiency, including competence in Microsoft Office suite and other internet-based programs.
- Must live within a commutable distance of the Training Centre in Schwechat.
- Preparation to spend a period of time outside of Austria to undertake initial type and SFI ratings is necessary.
- Possession of high-performance aircraft and instructional experience is essential.
- Demonstrated skill in mentoring and developing industry colleagues.
Highly Desirable Qualifications
- Previous instructional experience (CFI, SFI, or SFE) is highly advantageous.
- The legal right to live and work in Austria is desirable.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a concentrated customer/client orientation.
- A keen eye for detail in training delivery and a willingness to maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with company policy.
- The ability to tailor training sessions effectively to meet the needs of a diverse customer base.
- The capacity to focus and work efficiently in a demanding, fast-paced 24/7 environment.
- Readily accepts change and adjusts operational focus accordingly, continuously driving toward process improvement and client satisfaction.
Location Note: This is a permanent, full-time position requiring commitment to working onsite at the Vienna Training Centre. Please note that a training bond will apply to this position; the level of the bond is determined by previous experience and ratings, and further details will be shared during the interview process.
