CACI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) Instructor/Operator to deliver advanced training on Fire Support and Terminal Attack Control simulators. This full-time role involves operating sophisticated simulation environments, instructing personnel in Close Air Support (CAS) familiarization, and developing challenging training scenarios. Based at customer facilities with up to 25% travel within the Continental US, this position is crucial for national defense missions.
About the Role

Operate Fire Support and Terminal Attack Control (TAC) simulators, providing instruction for USSOCOM JTACs, trainees, and Close Air Support (CAS) familiarization.

Provide academic and practical instruction across all aspects of Fire Support, including TAC, Naval Gunfire, Call for Fire, AC-130 operations, and Attack Aviation.

Plan, develop, schedule, and synchronize all aspects of the JTAC Trainer and simulator, creating realistic and challenging training scenarios aligned with operational objectives.

Advise and assist in the development of training and mission rehearsal tasks, focusing on the integration of Live, Virtual, Constructive, Gaming (LVCG) and Synthetic Training Environment (STE) systems/platforms, and simulation/emulation of JTAC and Forward Observer devices.

Research and implement new operational tactics, techniques, and procedures into unit training programs.

Attend simulator and operational conferences to remain current with software and hardware advancements.

Maintain required qualifications and currency in accordance with the JTAC Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of principles, concepts, practices, and standards pertinent to JTAC training simulators.

Work effectively at customer facilities, including conventional and austere locations, with the ability to travel up to 25% across the Continental US.

Conduct instruction, training, and education in field environments, accommodating seasonal and adverse weather conditions.

Perform instruction in field environments requiring movement and transportation via watercraft, aircraft, and/or ground vehicles.

Utilize Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other standard office automation tools proficiently.
Requirements

Possession of a Secret Security Clearance with eligibility for Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).

Certification as a Joint Terminal Attack Controller Instructor or Evaluator (JTAC-I/E) while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Demonstrated operational JTAC experience, specifically with Special Operations Forces (SOF).

Experience in planning, coordinating, and employing lethal and nonlethal.

Proficiency with JTAC simulators, associated simulation software, and training aids.

Proficiency with Military air-ground communications systems.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.

Training and experience with the Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE).

Training and experience with the Joint Terminal Control Training Rehearsal System (JTC TRS).

Training and experience with the HAVIK Joint Fires Trainer.

Training and experience with Joint Fires Battlespace Simulations.
