What You’ll Get to Do:

As a CACI-Wexford, UAS Developer/Instructor, you will train, educate, coach, and mentor Officers and Soldiers assigned to the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB), 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) (SOAR(A)). You will instruct, coach, and mentor Unmanned Aircraft Crewmembers

in Special Operations tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and qualify students as Basic Mission Qualified (BMQ) crewmembers on Special Operations Aviation (SOA) organic UAS systems. You will train, educate, and evaluate the critical learning requirements, associated skills, and knowledge required to perform UAS flight under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) conditions. You will train, educate, and evaluate Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Aircraft Operators (AO) training as Flight Instructor Operators (IO) and/or Standardization Instructor Operators (SO) in the critical learning requirements, associated skills, and knowledge required to perform duties as a UAS Operator for the 160th SOAR(A).

More About the Role:

Additional duties include but are not limited to:

+ Provide UAS and SOA peculiar platform instruction.

+ Provide platform instruction in Advanced Individual Training (AIT). AIT consists of academic, hands on, and simulator training of an Army Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) qualified Soldier in order to operate Unmanned Aerial Systems.

+ Provide subject matter expertise for the development of and updates to the POI.

+ Provide Unmanned Aircraft Crewmember training on MQ-1C Gray Eagle UAS.

+ Provide Unmanned Aircraft Crewmember training on RQ-7 Shadow UAS.

+ Train, evaluate, and assess Unmanned Aircraft Crewmember performance, understanding, and adherence to UAS flight under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) conditions.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

+ Secret security clearance

+ Gray Eagle UAS certification/qualification

+ Shadow UAS certification/qualification

+ Prior Tier II/III/IV UAS experience as Pilot in Command

+ FAA Class II flight physical

+ Experience in Special Operations.

+ Experience in SOF unit training and/or SOF institutional training.

+ Demonstrated familiarization with the Army Training Management Program and large-scale, enterprise-wide training programs.

+ Experience integrating information, analysis, technology, and interagency collaboration, lessons learned, and best practices for training support to enable effective and efficient dissemination of threat training.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

+ Master’s degree or Bachelor’s Degree.

+ Experience deployed as military UAS operator.

+ FAA private pilot or commercial certificate with instrument rating.

+ CAPM or PMP, or related certificates in project management.

+ Demonstrated, recent (within the last five years) experience with or knowledge of the SOF training environment.

+ Experience assessing training and preparing units for deployment into conflict zones. Experience planning, directing, and synchronizing intelligence collection, analysis, and production in support of training, deployment, and contingency operations.

+ Proven understanding of the emerging and non-traditional concepts that are shaping the character of contemporary joint and multinational warfare.
