Job Overview

CACI is seeking a highly qualified MH-47 Civilian Flight Crewmember Instructor to join their esteemed training division. This full-time position is crucial in preparing and delivering comprehensive flight crewmember instruction aligned with established curriculum standards. The role requires a dedicated professional with extensive experience in MH-47 operations and a commitment to fostering excellence in Special Operations Aviation (SOA) training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct specialized training for Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs), Soldiers, Government personnel, Partner Nation forces, and Contractor rotary wing crew members, focusing on the specific knowledge and skills required for SOA.
  • Provide both flight and academic instruction to qualify non-rated crewmembers for Basic Mission Qualified (BMQ) status in Special Operations MH-47 helicopters.
  • Deliver expert training in diverse operational areas, including:
    • Day, night, and Night Vision Goggle (NVG) flight operations.
    • Essential mission tasks such as fast rope infiltration, hoist operations, and gunnery.
    • Environmental training across various terrains, including desert, mountain, overwater, and urban environments.
    • Air-to-air refueling procedures.
    • Deck landing operations.
  • Deliver SOA Basic Mission Qualification (BMQ) instruction, encompassing both flight and classroom settings, and perform proficiency certification for all non-rated crewmembers (NRCMs).
  • Prepare and effectively present flight crewmember instruction on topics within the designated curriculum.
  • Perform essential aircraft duties, including crew chief responsibilities and operator-level maintenance for immediate recovery to the airfield.
  • Fulfill crew duties during critical training support flights, recovery flights, demonstration flights, and maintenance test flights, as authorized by the Government Flight Representative (GFR).
  • Support firing range duties in accordance with CAMREG 385-5 guidelines.
  • Ensure the accurate completion of crewmember flight records to meticulously document all training activities.
  • Operate military vehicles as necessitated by the role.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a Secret Security Clearance is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Cargo Helicopter Crewmember (specifically 15U-Chinook Helicopter Repairer) on MH-47 helicopters.
  • Prior service as a Fully Mission Qualified (FMQ) Non-rated Standardization Instructor (SI) or Fully Mission Qualified Non-rated Flight Instructor (FI) in an Army Special Operations helicopter program.
  • A minimum of 500 flight hours in MH-47 helicopters.
  • A minimum of 250 flight hours utilizing Night Vision Goggles (NVG).
  • Proficiency and qualification in Dunker and Emergency Breathing Device (HEEDS) operations.

Compensation and Benefits

The proposed salary range for this position is $66,400 - $139,600. This range is influenced by various factors including geographic location, contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
