Role and Responsibilities
As a Student Cabin Crew Member, the primary responsibility is to serve as the exemplary host for all passengers aboard the aircraft. This role demands a keen ability to anticipate passenger needs and deliver unparalleled service standards. Furthermore, the Cabin Crew Member is entrusted with maintaining the safety and security of the cabin, rigorously adhering to all company protocols and Belgian Civil Aviation Authority regulations. Punctuality for pre-flight briefings, complete preparedness, and strict compliance with company procedures and grooming standards are paramount. The role necessitates ensuring passengers receive the highest caliber of safety, service, and customer care throughout their flight experience.
Candidate Profile Requirements
- Must have attained the age of 18 by the commencement of the training program.
- Must have successfully completed at least one year of higher education following secondary school.
- Must be a citizen of the European Union or possess the legal right to reside and work within the EU.
- Must be capable of providing a copy of their diploma, with a minimum of an A2 level qualification.
- Must possess an international passport with a validity of at least six months beyond the employment period.
- Must be able to swim a minimum distance of 25 meters.
- Must demonstrate excellent language proficiency in English, French, and Dutch.
- Must be available for a minimum of one full month during Summer 2026, with preference for availability up to four full months (June to September 2026).
- Must be amenable to working irregular hours, including weekends.
- Must have reliable personal transportation to the airport, accommodating early morning or late-night flight schedules.
- Must express a commitment to wearing the Brussels Airlines uniform with pride, adhering strictly to the internal style guide, which prohibits visible tattoos on the face, head, neck, and hands.
- Must successfully pass the mandatory medical examination for Cabin Crew following a positive selection process.
- Must commit to exclusively working for Brussels Airlines as a Student Cabin Crew member.
Training and Development
Upon successful selection, candidates will be allocated to one of Brussels Airlines' comprehensive training courses. The intensive training program spans 37 days and is strategically scheduled during school holidays and weekends. Brussels Airlines fully covers the cost of this training. It is important to note that the employment contract commences only after the successful completion of the training; therefore, remuneration is not provided during this period. Candidates are expected to proactively manage their professional development, engaging actively and punctually in all mandatory annual training and refresher courses. Continuous learning is fundamental to upholding the highest standards of safety and service quality on board.
