Avionics Instructor (Part-Time)
  Broward College seeks passionate and dedicated educators to join its Avionics Department as part-time instructors. The successful candidate will facilitate the learning needs of diverse 21st-century students aspiring to careers in the aviation field. Broward College places significant emphasis on supporting students in achieving academic success. The instructor will demonstrate mastery of their discipline, a strong commitment to student success, technology competencies, and effective teaching strategies. They will utilize resources that prepare students for productive careers and possess experience with various educational technology mediums.
  Responsibilities:
  
    - Instruct students in Avionics related coursework.
 
    - Foster a learning environment that promotes student success, achievement, and persistence.
 
    - Incorporate technology and 21st-century literacies into teaching practices.
 
    - Utilize resources to prepare students for productive lives.
 
    - Teach in traditional face-to-face and blended (hybrid) formats.
 
    - Maintain office hours and potentially teach evening and/or weekend courses.
 
  
  Minimum Qualifications:
  
    - Master’s degree in Aviation, Aviation Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
 
    - Alternatively, a Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Aviation, Aviation Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or a related field will be considered.
 
    - Aircraft Electronics Technician certification is required.
 
    - Airframe Mechanic certification is required.
 
    - Powerplant Mechanic certification is required.
 
    - High level of computer literacy.
 
    - Commitment to teaching.
 
  
  Preferred Qualifications:
  
    - Prior college teaching experience is preferred.
