EASA B737NG Captains – Seasonal Contract with Smartwings
Smartwings, a leading airline specializing in scheduled and chartered flights to leisure destinations, seeks experienced EASA B737NG Captains for a seasonal contract spanning January 2025 to October 2026. Position Overview:
This role involves commanding B737NG aircraft on scheduled and chartered flights throughout Europe. The contract is structured as two distinct periods: January 1st, 2025 – October 31st, 2025, followed by a four-month break (November 2025 – February 2026), and resuming March 1st, 2026 – October 31st, 2026.
Requirements:
- A current EASA ATPL.
- A valid Class 1 medical certificate.
- A current Command Type Rating on the B737NG with an Instrument Rating (IR).
- A minimum of 3,500 total flight hours.
- A minimum of 1,000 hours of command time on the B737NG.
- Flight experience within the last 12 months.
- The legal right to live and work within the European Union.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Basic Salary: €6,800 per month (based on a minimum of 40 block hours). Overtime is compensated at €170 per hour, with additional bonuses available. Based on an average of 85 flying hours, the monthly compensation can reach €14,950.
- Ground School Payment: €5,000 per month, paid from the commencement to the successful completion of the Operator Conversion Course Simulator.
- Roster: 21 days on, 9 days off.
- Stay & Travel Allowance: €500 per month.
- Travel Allowance: MyID Travel is available for the duration of the contract. The airline covers transport from/to the assigned home base to the main base during the 21-day work cycle.
- Ground transportation arrangements will be provided.
Selection Process:
The selection process consists of two stages:
Stage 1: Online Assessment:
This involves an online test and an online interview.
Stage 2: On-site Assessment:
This comprehensive assessment includes psychological testing, a simulator assessment, ATPL tests, a technical test, an English language proficiency evaluation, and a final interview.
