Air Kerala, a new venture by ZettFly Aviation in India, is seeking highly qualified and experienced aviation professionals to join their team. The airline is commencing operations with a new fleet of ATR72-600 aircraft and offers an exceptional opportunity for career advancement. Air Kerala is based in Kochi, India.
Available Positions:
- Captains
- Line Training Captains
- Examiners (TRE)
All positions require candidates to be type-rated and current on the ATR72 aircraft. Successful candidates will be offered a three-year contract.
Captain Requirements:
- Possess a current and valid FAA, EASA, or CAA Airline Transport Pilot License.
- Hold an ATR72-600 type rating.
- Have a current First Class Medical Certificate issued by EASA, FAA, or CAA.
- Accumulate a minimum of 2,000 hours total flight time.
- Have at least 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on any type of aircraft.
- Accumulate a minimum of 1,000 hours as PIC on the ATR72.
- Experience with aircraft with a Maximum AUW exceeding 5,700 kgs.
- Maintain a current Instrument Rating (IR) and Pilot Proficiency Check.
- Have a minimum of 10 hours of flying experience, including at least 3 takeoffs and landings within the preceding 6 months, specifically on the ATR72 aircraft, OR hold a valid rating on type and have completed 3 takeoffs and landings in the preceding 90 days in a simulator or aircraft.
- Possess a minimum ICAO Level 5 English language proficiency.
- Hold a Flight Radiotelephony Operator's License (FRTOL) or equivalent.
- Provide a certified copy of logbook and flying experience.
Line Training Captain Requirements:
- Must meet all requirements listed for Captains, plus:
- Accumulate at least 2,000 hours total flight time.
- Have a minimum of 1,500 hours as PIC on any type of aircraft.
- Accumulate a minimum of 1,000 hours as PIC on the ATR72.
- Hold a valid rating on the ATR72 and have completed 3 takeoffs and landings in the preceding 6 months on an ATR72 aircraft, or have a valid rating and have completed 3 takeoffs and landings in the preceding 90 days in a simulator or aircraft.
- Have 100 hours of flight time in the preceding 12 months.
Examiner (TRE) Requirements:
- Must meet all requirements listed for Captains, plus:
- Accumulate at least 4,000 hours total flight time.
- Have a minimum of 2,000 hours as PIC on any type of aircraft.
- Accumulate a minimum of 1,000 hours as PIC on the ATR72.
- Possess 250 hours of instrument flight time.
- Maintain a current Instrument Rating (IR) and Pilot Proficiency Check.
- Hold a valid rating on the ATR72 and have completed 3 takeoffs and landings in the preceding 6 months on an ATR72 aircraft, or have a valid rating and have completed 3 takeoffs and landings in the preceding 90 days in a simulator or aircraft.
- Have 100 hours of flight time in the preceding 12 months.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Three-year contract.

- Captains: USD 7,500 to 8,000 per month, based on experience.
- Line Training Captains: USD 9,000 per month.
- Examiners (TRE): USD 10,500 per month.

Additional Information:
- Candidates must complete an Indian medical examination within 3 months of the issuance of their Foreign Aircrew Temporary Authorisation (FATA).
- Candidates must pass the Indian Air Regulation exam (multiple-choice) for which training will be provided by Zett Fly Aviation Private Ltd.
- All associated fees, including the Indian medical examination, will be paid by Zett Fly Aviation Private Ltd.
- Zett Fly Aviation Private Ltd. will provide transportation, hotel, and meals for candidates traveling to Delhi.
Application Process:
- Security clearance paperwork and document evaluation will take approximately 45 days to 2 months.
- Upon completion of the security clearance, candidates will apply for an Indian employment visa.
- Zett Fly Aviation Private Ltd. will provide tickets for candidates to travel to India.
- The employment visa will be valid for 12 months and tickets will be provided by Zett Fly Aviation Private Ltd to allow candidates return home to renew if necessary.
- A comprehensive training program, lasting two months, will be provided, including dangerous goods (2 days) and security (6 days) training.
