Key Requirements for A330 Captains
Prospective candidates for the A330 Captain position must rigorously satisfy the following minimum qualifications:
- Possession of a valid and current ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL(A)).
- A minimum of 5,000 hours of total flight time on multi-crew, multi-engine commercial jet aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) of 50 tons or more, including at least 1,500 hours of Command experience on the Airbus A330 aircraft type.
- Holding a valid Aviation Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Current and type-rated on the Airbus A330 aircraft.
- Demonstrated recent flying experience on the Airbus A330 within the last 12 months.
- An ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Certificate of Level 5 or higher, with a minimum validity of 6 months remaining.
