Are you an experienced A321 pilot with strong leadership skills? We have an exciting opening for a Chief Pilot for an airline in the Middle East.
The Chief Pilot is responsible for overseeing the airline’s flight operations, ensuring all flights are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves managing the pilots, maintaining operational standards, and providing leadership and guidance to ensure the highest levels of safety and performance.
Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and direction to all pilots.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures for flight operations.
* Ensure compliance with the airline’s aviation policies, regulatory requirements, and ICAA.
* Align with other departments to confirm smooth and efficient operations.
* Ensure all flight operations comply with aviation regulations and company standards.
* Oversee the development and implementation of safety programs.
* Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
* Investigate incidents and accidents and implement corrective actions.
* Develop and oversee training programs for pilots.
* Ensure pilots maintain required certifications and proficiency.
* Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
* Promote continuous improvement and professional development.
* Monitor daily flight operations and address any issues that arise.
* Ensure effective utilization of resources, including aircraft and crew.
* Develop and implement operational schedules.
* Manage pilot rosters and ensure adequate staffing levels.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for pilots regarding operational issues.
* Liaise with industry bodies and other stakeholders.
* Communicate effectively with senior management and other departments.
* Represent the airline at industry meetings and conferences.
* Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with type ratings on A321 aircraft; preference given to TRI.
* Minimum of 5,000 hours total flight time, with significant experience in commercial aviation.
* Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
* Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and industry standards.

* Experience with fleet management and operational planning.

* The Chief Pilot must be available to respond to operational issues as they arise, including outside of regular business hours.
* Travel may be required for meetings, inspections, and training.
