Position Summary and Responsibilities
The A320 Captain holds a pivotal role within the airline's Flight Operations division, reporting directly to the Director of Flight Operations. The Captain is entrusted with the ultimate responsibility for the safe and efficient conduct of all flight operations, ensuring strict adherence to the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and professionalism. Essential Requirements for A320 Captains
Candidates must fulfill the following mandatory qualifications and experience criteria:
- Possession of a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) issued by CASA, EASA, ICAO, or FAA, with a current A320 type rating endorsement.
- Must hold a current First Class Medical Certificate (Class 1).
- A minimum of 4,500 total flying hours accrued.
- A minimum of 1,500 hours flown on the Airbus A320 type.
- A minimum of 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC), including a minimum of 500 hours PIC specifically on the A320 type.
- The Captain must have maintained currency, with the last flight on the A320 type completed within the preceding 12 months.
- Demonstrated English language proficiency at ICAO Level 4 or above.
- Must provide confirmation of a clean record with no history of flight accidents or incidents.
