Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Director of Flight Operations, the A320 Captain will be instrumental in upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency in all flight operations. This pivotal role involves commanding state-of-the-art A320 aircraft, participating in excellent recurrent training programs, and collaborating with a highly professional team committed to achieving operational excellence. The Captain will play a key role in the airline's continued growth and operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently command A320 aircraft in accordance with company policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the welfare and safety of all passengers and crew during flight operations.
  • Lead and manage flight deck crew, fostering a professional and collaborative working environment.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight checks, in-flight monitoring, and post-flight procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of situational awareness and exercise sound aeronautical decision-making.
  • Adhere to all local and international aviation regulations.

Requirements (Qualifications and Experience)

Prospective A320 Captains must meet the following stringent qualifications and experience criteria:

  • Possession of a valid CASA/EASA/ICAO/FAA Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) with a current A320 type rating endorsement.
  • A valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • A minimum of 4,500 total flying hours.
  • At least 1,500 hours accumulated specifically on the A320 aircraft type.
  • A minimum of 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC), including at least 500 hours PIC on the A320 type.
  • Demonstrable recency of experience, with the last flight on the A320 type performed within the past 12 months.
  • An impeccable safety record, free from any history of flight accidents or incidents.
  • Proficiency in English language, demonstrating ICAO Level 4 or above.
