We are currently seeking to appoint Flight Technical Trainers for our Flight Training School based at London's Heathrow Airport.
Preferably coming from a flight deck, flight operations, engineering or aviation educational background, you will probably have previously worked as a Theoretical Knowledge Instructor delivering training in an aviation or operational discipline.
An energetic and solid team player, you will be expected to take a full role in the technical training of British Airways' flight deck crews undertaking conversion courses.
Duties will include –

Carrying out aircraft technical, procedural and performance training activities in a fight simulator environment

Conducting training to meet the requirements necessary for the realisation of the commercial plan in compliance with BA’s ATO and CAA FCL requirements.

Contributing to the specification, development, testing, acceptance, and commissioning of all training material, equipment, and facilities.
If successful, you would work Monday to Friday and your 'office' would be one of our 19 high-tech flight simulators, which are part of the Global Learning Academy based at the Heathrow campus.

Carry out the full range of aircraft technical, procedural and performance training activities in a fight simulator environment to provide flight crew with the knowledge and skills necessary for safe and professional operation of British Airways and other operators’ aircraft.

Conduct the training to meet requirements necessary for the realisation of the commercial plan in compliance with the BA ATO and CAA FCL requirements.

Uses initiative and is creative when faced with planning/training problems caused by changes to the commercial/training plan and training equipment serviceability.

Establish and maintain the same standards of professionalism required of British Airways flight crew in their normal working environment.

Complies with all Flight Technical Training prescribed procedures/practices in training and testing necessary for regulatory approval.

Qualifications / experience
-
Experience as a commercial pilot/flight engineer or completion of an aeronautical engineering apprenticeship with experience as a licensed engineer or experience in flight operations.

Professional background acceptable to the CAA.

Training experience & IT Skills are desirable.
