Breeze Airways is seeking qualified Lear 45 First Officers to join its operations in the United States. This role involves ensuring safe and timely flight operations while upholding company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations. First Officers are responsible for the overall safety and well-being of team members and guests onboard, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.
About the Role

Responsible for the safe and timely completion of flight operations in accordance with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).

Operates assigned flights after assessing aircraft airworthiness and reviewing factors such as weather, field conditions, and navigational aids.

Maintains a high degree of proficiency and thorough knowledge of flight operations, procedures, and systems applicable to the Lear 45 aircraft.

Performs pre- and post-flight inspections to ensure aircraft airworthiness.

Ensures flights are properly planned and fueled for safe and compliant operations.

Assists with and ensures proper handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo when other company personnel are unavailable.

Communicates operational factors affecting the flight to crew and passengers.

Adheres to company Rules of Conduct.

Assesses risk and utilizes appropriate resources to maintain acceptable risk levels during all flight phases.

Performs other flight officer duties as assigned.
Requirements

Minimum age of 23 years at the time of hire.
-
1,000+ hours total flight time (excluding simulator and Flight Engineer time).

500 hours Fixed Wing Pilot in Command (PIC) time.

25 hours Multi-Engine flight time.
-
50 hours Instrument flight time.

100 hours Cross Country flight time.

Possession of an FAA Commercial or Airline Transport Certificate with an airplane multi-engine class rating.

Possession of an FAA Instrument Rating.
-
Actively flying for at least two of the past five years.

High school diploma or equivalent educational achievement.

Accurate maintenance and disclosure of pilot training history in accordance with FAA Pilot Records Database (PRD) regulations.

Current First-Class FAA Medical Certificate.

Valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.

Valid U.S. driver’s license.

Valid passport.
-
Ability to travel unrestricted to and from the United States.

Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test.

Must pass a TSA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check.

Authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
