CH-47F Qualified Flying Instructor (QFI)

Boeing Defence Australia seeks a highly skilled and experienced CH-47F Qualified Flying Instructor (QFI) to join the CISS Contract at the School of Army Aviation Chinook Wing in Townsville. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the training and development of Army Aviation personnel, commencing in January 2025.

Responsibilities:

The CH-47F QFI will be responsible for:

• Providing CH-47F airborne instruction.
• Conducting CH-47F synthetic instruction.
• Delivering CH-47F ground instruction.
• Participating in CH-47F general flying operations.
• Executing related flying, instructional, and administrative tasks.
• Maintaining flying currency and qualifications as mandated by AAAvn Command.
• Promoting a safe and effective work environment.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of team performance.

Experience/Qualifications:

Essential:

• CH-47F QFI Category C.
• CH-47F NVIS Command qualification.
• Group 4 Instrument Rating.
• CASA CPL-H (or higher).
• Current CLASS 1 Medical Certificate.
• Current CASA ASIC.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance of Non-Vetted Level 1.
• Must be an Australian Citizen to meet Defence security requirements.

Desirable Criteria:

• CH47F QFI Category B/A.
• Group 4 Instrument Rating Assessor qualification.
• CH-47F TFPS Instructor Operator Simulator experience.
• CH-47F Maintenance Pilot qualification.
• Simulator Reference Pilot experience.

Physical Requirements:

Boeing Defence Australia site positions may have specific physical requirements. These will be outlined by the recruitment manager in consultation with the Environment Health & Safety Department. A formal assessment will be required for specific roles.
