About the Role
Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is seeking a P-8A Pilot Instructor to join its Fixed Wing Training Capability team at the P-8A Training Centre in RAF Lossiemouth. This role involves delivering simulator and ground training for P-8A pilots, contributing to the company's growing training services for UK defence customers. The successful candidate will report to the Boeing P-8A Training Delivery Manager.
Responsibilities

Deliver P-8A simulator and ground training in accordance with company standards, customer requirements, and MAA regulatory guidelines.

Develop and conduct simulator and ground school pilot instruction.

Develop training tools and techniques to support customer requirements.

Apply instructor-led training and computer-based training methodologies.

Coordinate training, apply standardised teaching techniques, conduct demonstrations, and implement evaluation procedures to meet contractual standards and certification requirements.

Evaluate student competence according to company and customer regulatory requirements.

Identify and correct safety-affecting conditions and behaviours, uphold safety standards, and demonstrate proactive safety leadership.
Requirements

Demonstrable experience within the defence flying training domain as a qualified flight training instructor.

Prior experience with the P-8A aircraft is highly desirable.

Previous Boeing 737 type-rated experience is desirable.

Multi-engine fixed wing pilot experience, preferably ex-military, with large aircraft and multi-engine/multi-crew experience.

Ability to communicate effectively with personnel from diverse skill areas, cultures, and functions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Skills in data collection, organisation, analysis, summarisation, and development of conclusions and recommendations.

Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.
Qualifications

A P-8A Pilot Instructor must hold a B737 Type Rating Instructor (TRI) or Simulator Flight Instructor (SFI) qualification.

Successful completion of the Aircrew Instructors' Course (AIC) or a civilian equivalent is preferred.
