Boeing Defence UK is seeking a P-8A Pilot Instructor to join its team at the P-8A Training Centre in RAF Lossiemouth. This role involves delivering simulator and ground training for P-8A pilots, reporting to the Boeing P-8A Training Delivery Manager.
About the Role
The P-8A Pilot Instructor will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training to P-8A pilots. This includes conducting simulator sessions and ground school instruction in accordance with company standards, customer requirements, and military regulatory guidelines. The role involves developing training tools and techniques, applying various instructor-led and computer-based training methodologies, and evaluating student competency to meet contractual and certification standards.
Responsibilities

Deliver training for P-8A simulator and ground training in accordance with company standards, customer requirements, and MAA regulatory guidelines.

Develop and conduct simulator and ground school pilot instruction.

Develop training tools and techniques to support customer requirements.

Apply instructor-led training and computer-based training techniques and methodologies.

Coordinate training, apply standardised teaching techniques, carry out demonstrations, and apply evaluation procedures to achieve contractual standards and certification requirements.

Evaluate and examine the competence of students in accordance with company and customer regulatory requirements.

Identify and correct conditions and behaviours that affect safety, upholding safety standards and demonstrating a proactive safety culture.
Requirements

Demonstrable experience within the defence flying training domain as a qualified flight training instructor.

Ability to communicate with personnel from multiple skill areas, cultures, and functions.

IT proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Office applications.

Skill and ability to collect, organise, and analyze data; summarise findings; and develop conclusions and recommendations.

The ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.

Multi-engine fixed-wing pilot experience, preferably ex-military, with large aircraft, multi-engine/multi-crew experience.
Qualifications

Prior experience with the P-8A is highly desirable.

Previous Boeing 737 type rated experience is desirable.

Pilot OCU Instructor must be a B737 Type Rated Instructor (TRI) or Simulator Flight Instructor (SFI).

Successful completion of the Aircrew Instructors' Course (AIC) or civilian equivalent is preferred.
