Boeing Defence Australia is seeking motivated Aviation Maintenance (Mechanical) courseware developers and instructors to support P-8A Poseidon Maintenance Training at RAAF Base Edinburgh SA. The successful candidate will conduct vital instructional delivery tasks and courseware material development activities for both the sustainment and emerging work associated with all P-8A Maintenance training requirements.
Responsibilities include conducting P-8A Aircraft Systems, Basic Core Maintenance, Safety Familiarisation, and Engine Operator courses. They will also coach, mentor, and provide on-the-job training for emerging P-8A fleet support. The individual will analyze lesson framework needs, design maintenance training solutions and products, and evaluate the effectiveness of developed training programs. The role requires providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to the development of courseware that meets Boeing Defence Australia and Defence Aviation Safety Regulatory (DASR) requirements, primarily for Maintenance, but also potentially for Pilot and Mission Crew training materials. Responsibilities also include conducting courseware continuous improvement tasks and potentially developing and piloting new courses and innovative processes and technology in collaboration with P-8A Platform stakeholders.
Applicants must possess a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) and have experience on the P-8A or B737NG with a B1 MAML or equivalent, and a minimum of 5 years of Avionics Maintenance (B1) experience. Experience in the following fields is highly desirable: B737NG Airframe Systems, CFM56 Power Plants and APU Systems, P-8A Poseidon Unique Aircraft Systems, P-8A Poseidon Sub-system architecture and safety procedures, Defence aviation maintenance processes and procedures, and Instructor and Courseware Development skills. Previous P-8A experience as an instructor, mentor, or supervisor is also desirable.
A Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE 40116) or equivalent qualification is highly desired, though not essential. Boeing Defence Australia will support the right candidate in obtaining this qualification.
