Role Summary

BermudAir is seeking a dynamic Head of Cabin Crew and Safety to oversee the operational performance of the cabin crew department. Reporting directly to the Head of Flight Operations, the successful candidate will ensure exceptional service delivery, rigorous compliance with safety protocols, and a superior guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Competent Authority on operational matters in coordination with the Head of Flight Operations.
  • Manage the Operations Manual, safety notices, and operational instructions.
  • Oversee the recruitment and retention of Cabin Crew.
  • Ensure the effective training and scheduling of Cabin Crew for all aircraft operations.
  • Coordinate with Ground Operations and Line Station Engineers regarding cabin presentation and aircraft housekeeping.
  • Conduct performance audits and assessments of cabin crew, implementing corrective action plans as required.
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and industry best practices.
  • Manage crew wellness programs, track attendance patterns, and collaborate with HR to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Monitor cabin service standards and crew-passenger interactions in partnership with customer experience departments.
  • Address safety deficiencies and ensure the adequacy of all training programs.
  • Conduct Line Training and Checks to promote a safe, compliant, and professional crew culture.
  • Foster open communication, motivate team members, and cultivate a supportive work environment.
  • Manage audit findings and ensure the timely processing of all safety reports.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of cabin crew management experience within a commercial airline.
  • At least 3 years of in-flight management experience.
  • Qualified trainer in CRM, AVMed, SEP, and SOP (desirable).
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general technical aptitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to foster team effectiveness and build professional relationships.
  • Willingness to travel as necessitated by operational requirements.
