Captain - Fixed Wing Aircraft
Bell Textron Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Captain to join its Flight Operations team in Fort Worth, Texas. This individual contributor will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft, specifically a Citation X and Citation X, supporting Textron, Bell, and Textron Systems operations. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, a strong team player, and professionally driven with a passion for aviation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as Captain or Co-Captain on assigned aircraft, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Maintain currency on assigned aircraft and a strong knowledge base of equipment and government regulations impacting flight operations.
- Adhere to all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), legal requirements, and aircraft flight manuals.
- Actively participate in the company's Safety Management System (SMS), prioritizing safety above all else.
- Supervise other pilots, including contract pilots, while maintaining the highest levels of morale and professionalism.
- Foster a positive work environment with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Drive team success by identifying and recommending improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate with leadership regarding scheduling for training, vacation, and other time off.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work irregular schedules as needed.
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
- Be open to further career development within Textron business units.
- Perform ancillary duties and special projects as assigned, including occasional office time as flight schedules permit.
Qualifications:
- Commercial Pilot Certificate/Instrument Rating or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine)
- Current First-Class FAA Medical Certificate or the ability to obtain one prior to start.
- Experience as a flight crewmember with a working knowledge of FAR Part 91 or FAR Part 135 operations.
- Minimum of 3000 total fixed-wing flight hours.
- Minimum of 1500 multi-engine turbojet flight hours.
- Minimum of 1000 multi-engine turbojet Pilot-in-Command (PIC) flight hours.
- Experience with corporate flight operations.
- Knowledge of Safety Management System implementation.
- Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a Captain in a corporate flight department.
- Previous leadership role in a corporate flight department or a desire to develop into a leadership role.
- Over 6000 multi-engine turbojet flight hours.
- Over 3000 multi-engine turbojet PIC flight hours.
- International flight experience.
- A strong record of development and success in corporate aviation.
- Type Rating on CE-750 or similar aircraft.
