Captain - Fixed Wing Aircraft
Bell Textron Inc. seeks a highly skilled and experienced Captain to join its Corporate Flight team in Fort Worth, TX. Responsibilities:
- Assume the role of Captain/Co-Captain on Bell Textron, Textron Systems, and Textron aircraft.
- Prioritize and ensure the safe and efficient operation of assigned aircraft.
- Maintain currency on assigned aircraft and stay current on equipment and relevant government regulations.
- Strictly adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) outlined in company manuals and all applicable legal requirements.
- Actively participate in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) to prioritize and maintain safety as the highest priority.
- When assigned a Captain role, supervise other pilots, including contract pilots, while fostering a positive work environment and promoting professionalism.
- Provide clear and effective oral and written communication in all interactions.
- Proactively identify and recommend opportunities for improvement, driving team success.
- Coordinate with leadership regarding scheduling for training, vacation, and other personal needs.
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to work irregular schedules as assigned.
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
- Embrace opportunities for further career development within Textron business units.
- Perform ancillary duties and special projects as assigned, expecting to spend some time in the office environment monthly (as flight schedule permits).
Qualifications:
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Commercial Pilot Certificate/Instrument Rating or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine)
- Current First-Class FAA Medical Certificate or the ability to obtain one prior to start
- Experience as a flight crewmember with a working knowledge and practical experience of FAR Part 91 or FAR Part 135 operations
- Minimum of 3000 Total Fixed Wing Flight hours
- Minimum of 1500 Multi-Engine Turbo Jet Flight Hours
- Minimum of 1000 Multi-Engine Turbo Jet PIC Flight Hours
- Experience with corporate flight operations
- Knowledge of Safety Management System Implementation
- Bachelor's Degree required
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years' experience as a Captain in a Corporate Flight Department
- Previous Leadership role in a Corporate Flight Department or a strong desire to develop into a leadership role
- 6000 Hours Multi-Engine Turbo Jet Hours
- 3000 Hours Multi-Engine Turbo Jet PIC Hours
- International flight experience
- Strong record of development and success in the Corporate Aviation Function
- Type Rated on CE-750, or similar aircraft
