Captain - Fixed Wing Aircraft

Bell Textron, a pioneer in aviation and a company shaping the future of flight, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Captain to join its Corporate Flight team. This position, based in Fort Worth, Texas, will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of Textron, Bell, and Textron Systems by crewing a Citation X and Citation X+ aircraft. This individual will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft, adhering to all relevant regulations, company procedures, and aircraft flight manuals. They will be expected to maintain currency on assigned aircraft and remain knowledgeable of applicable regulations and equipment. The Captain will actively participate in the company's Safety Management System, ensuring safety remains the highest priority, and may supervise other pilots when serving in a Captain role, maintaining a high level of professionalism and morale. Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment and drive team success, are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Captain or Co-Captain on Bell Textron, Textron Systems, and Textron aircraft.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of assigned aircraft.
  • Maintain currency on all assigned aircraft.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge base of equipment and regulations affecting flight operations.
  • Operate aircraft within established SOPs and legal requirements.
  • Actively participate in the company's Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Supervise other pilots or contract pilots as required, maintaining a professional and positive environment.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment through excellent communication.
  • Drive team success by identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate with leadership on scheduling for training and time off.
  • Maintain the ability and willingness to work irregular schedules as required.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times.
  • Remain open to further career development opportunities within Textron.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned, with occasional time spent in the office environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Commercial Pilot Certificate/Instrument Rating or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine).
  • Current First-Class FAA Medical Certificate (or the ability to obtain one before starting).
  • Experience as a flight crewmember with a working knowledge of FAR Part 91 or FAR Part 135 operations.
  • Minimum of 3000 total fixed-wing flight hours.
  • Minimum of 1500 multi-engine turbo jet flight hours.
  • Minimum of 1000 multi-engine turbo jet PIC flight hours.
  • Experience with corporate flight operations.
  • Knowledge of Safety Management System implementation.
  • Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Captain in a corporate flight department.
  • Previous leadership role in a corporate flight department or a desire to develop into leadership.
  • 6000+ hours of multi-engine turbo jet flight hours.
  • 3000+ hours of multi-engine turbo jet PIC flight hours.
  • International flight experience.
  • A strong record of development and success in corporate aviation.
  • Type rating on CE-750 or similar aircraft.
