Project Overview:

This position is based at the significant Louisiana LNG project near Lake Charles, Louisiana. This large-scale facility involves the construction of an LNG production and export terminal, including processing units, substantial LNG storage tanks (235,000m³ each), marine berths, and associated infrastructure, representing a critical energy sector development.

Position Summary:

Bechtel is seeking a skilled UAV Pilot / Survey & CAD Technician to play a pivotal role in supporting critical survey and Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) operations for a major construction project. This position focuses on the technical administration of survey work requests and the comprehensive management of the project's UAV mission program. The role involves essential tasks such as calibrating survey instruments, reviewing technical computations, preparing detailed drawings, and providing crucial technical support to ensure the precision, accuracy, and efficiency of both traditional survey and advanced drone-based data collection activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 2-5 years of relevant experience, or 6-9 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.

The successful candidate will be motivated, driven, enthusiastic, and hard-working.

Physical Demands:

This position may require physically demanding field inspections. This includes, but is not limited to, extensive walking across construction sites, often in challenging weather conditions (high heat, humidity), climbing ladders and scaffolding, working on elevated platforms and uneven surfaces, and operating in small or confined spaces. The ability to perform some lifting may be required. Candidates must be capable of safely entering and exiting the project site and utilizing all required standard Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for assigned tasks.
