Job Description:

General Summary:

Captain pilot position with Barry-Wehmiller Flight Operations accountable to the Director of Flight Operations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Highly knowledgeable of the Company Policies and Procedures Manual, FAA Regulations, Flight Manuals, etc., and other materials pertinent to his/her duties and responsibilities.
  • Clearly understand and reinforce the company’s most important policy, SAFETY IS PRIORITY NUMBER ONE.
  • Directly responsible for, and is the final authority as to, the operation of the aircraft and the safety of his / her passenger and crew.
  • Prior to each flight, is responsible for familiarizing himself / herself with all available information concerning that flight, including but not limited to:
    • Aircraft status (current inspection status, discrepancies, MEL deferrals, aircraft preflight)
    • Flight planning
    • IFR / VFR charts
    • Weather/NOTAM information
    • Any other pertinent information relating to that flight
    • May delegate functions to other personnel but retains responsibility
  • Additional duties may include administrative responsibilities required to maintain the highest operational protocols

Job Specifications :

  • ATP required / Falcon aircraft PIC experience or equivalent
  • International flight experience preferred
  • Able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug testing)
  • No FAA violations / FAA First Class medical
  • Corporate flight operation experience preferred

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3000 Total time / 1000 PIC JET
  • Ability to travel internationally with a valid passport
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
  • Current Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot License, with an airplane category multi-engine class rating and English Proficiency endorsement


  • This position does not supervise other employees.

Work Environment:

  • Based at Spirit of St. Louis airport
  • Must be able to perform all physical duties required by FAA

Physical Demands:

  • Occasional handling of baggage may be required.
  • Pilot duties may require the use of ladders to complete required operational pre and post flight duties.

Additional Information:

  • Barry-Wehmiller Flight Operations is an FAA part 91 corporate flight department.
  • This is a regular, full-time position.
  • Must be able, available and willing to work as needed to cover the flight schedule including weekends.
  • Travel, overnights, and airline repositioning is required.
  • The flight operation meets IS-BAO protocol for operational guidance.
