This is your opportunity to join Babcock as a Falcon Instructor/Developer. The role is advertised as part of an exciting new contract opportunity that commenced on 1st January 2022. Manufactured by BAE, Falcon is a ruggedised, secure, deployable broadband voice, data, and video communications system designed to provide vital defence information to the battlespace.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for a telecommunications engineer who is interested in a coaching role to carry out the Training Design, Development and Delivery in support of Falcon/FEEC Training. Experience as an instructor isn’t essential as we will provide the training whilst in the role.

What will you be doing?
As a Falcon Instructor/Developer you will be an accomplished communicator who is able to investigate, persuade and report at all organisational levels.

Your duties will include:

• Being a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the WANT team for the development and delivery of Falcon System Engineer training
• Delivering Communications Information Systems (CIS) Engineering Training to Phase 3 trainees
• Developing the Falcon Engineer course material under the supervision of the Lead Instructor in accordance with the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT).
• Engaging with the media team to develop System Engineering Training.
• Proactively support the DSCIS Military Instructor team and the BAE Training Support Engineer in the delivery of training and maintenance of the training fleet.

The experience you’ll bring

• You must hold or have the ability to obtain SC security clearance
• Experience of general CIS engineering principles.
• DCTS Defence Instructional Techniques course or equivalent. (Candidate must be able to complete a course successfully if not already qualified)
