BGI | Instructor

BGI, a Lockheed Martin contractor, is seeking experienced F-35 Pilot Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Instructor Pilots for various CONUS/OCONUS locations in the US, Italy, and Japan. This role involves training F-35 pilots using advanced simulators, developing training materials, and ensuring adherence to flight procedures and tactical employment standards.

About the Role

This position focuses on providing high-quality training to F-35 pilots. Responsibilities include conducting aircrew training device operations, maintaining F-35 weapons system expertise, preparing and cleaning briefing/debriefing rooms, evaluating training device issues, and performing remedial instruction. The role also involves supporting scenario design, conducting flight briefings and debriefings, operating the Instructor Operator Station, and updating training materials based on relevant publications and safety reports.

Requirements

• Operational Instructor Pilot (IP) experience is required.
• A minimum of 1000 hours of fighter flight time on fourth and/or fifth generation fighter aircraft is desired.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education with 14+ years of professional experience.
• Alternatively, a Master's degree in a related discipline with 12 years of professional experience.
• A fighter pilot background or back-seat fighter experience is necessary.

Qualifications

• An active secret clearance with an investigation completed within the last 6 years or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation.
• Eligibility to obtain SAP clearance.
• A valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
