Avionics Technical Instructor
BAE Systems is seeking experienced Avionics Technical Instructors to join their Aircraft Sustainment & Training team in Wagga Wagga, NSW. This permanent, full-time role involves delivering high-quality aviation training and supporting student development within the Australian Defence Force aviation training project.
About the Role
The Avionics Technical Instructor will be responsible for:

Facilitating and delivering Technical Training, including Initial Employment Training and Post Initial Employment Training.

Supervising Australian Defence Force personnel within a Simulated Working Environment.

Providing specialist skills and advice to support aviation technical training.

Developing and maintaining relationships with customers, government, and industry partners.

Designing and developing training solutions and documentation that meet stakeholder requirements.

Maintaining accurate electronic and hard copy records of training documentation.

Guiding and mentoring Defence trainees and students in aviation best practices.
Requirements

Demonstrated industry experience as a qualified Avionics Maintenance Engineer (AME).

Significant experience in Aviation Safety Regulations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.

Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.

Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations.
Qualifications

A Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics) or a higher qualification will be highly regarded.

A current EASA or CASA Licence will be highly regarded.

A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or relevant technical training instructor experience will be highly regarded. Candidates without this qualification must be willing to undertake training to obtain it.
