Overview
BAE Systems is seeking qualified Aviation Technical Instructors to join the Aircraft Sustainment & Training team in Wagga Wagga, NSW. This role focuses on delivering high-quality aviation and technical training to the Australian Defence Force, supporting student development, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Core Duties

Facilitate and deliver technical training for both Initial Employment Training and Post-Initial Employment Training.

Supervise Australian Defence Force personnel within a simulated working environment.

Provide specialized technical expertise and advice to support aviation training programs.

Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers, government, and industry partners.

Design, develop, and document comprehensive training solutions.

Maintain accurate electronic and hard-copy training records.

Mentor Defence trainees and students in best-practice aviation standards.
Essential Skills and Qualifications

Demonstrated industry experience as a qualified Aviation Maintenance Engineer (AME) or Aircraft/Electrical Engineer with significant experience in Aviation Safety Regulations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.

Must be an Australian citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance.

Eligibility to obtain a White Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).

Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations.

Certificate III/IV in Aeroskills, higher qualifications, or current EASA/CASA licences are highly regarded.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or previous technical instructor experience is highly regarded.
