Overview
BAE Systems Australia is seeking a motivated and experienced Structures Technical Instructor to join the project team based at RAAF Base, Wagga Wagga. This role involves delivering Initial Employment Training (IET) to aviation trade students, with a specific focus on Aerospace Structures and Composite materials. The successful candidate will facilitate hands-on training across classrooms, workshops, and hangars to develop the next generation of aviation maintainers.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver Initial Employment Training (IET) in Aerospace Structures and Composite repair techniques.

Facilitate both theoretical and practical training regarding composite materials, structural repair, and aviation maintenance practices.

Provide instruction across diverse training environments, including classrooms, workshops, and hangars.

Contribute to the ongoing development, preparation, and maintenance of training resources and materials.

Support the administration and continuous improvement of the structures training program.

Uphold high standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and industry best practice within all training activities.
Candidate Requirements

Extensive experience in Aerospace Structures with a strong focus on Composite Materials and Repairs.

Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures) is essential.

Demonstrated ability to mentor, guide, and develop aviation trade trainees.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) is desirable; candidates without this qualification must be willing to obtain it.

Previous Defence experience is considered highly desirable but not essential.

Applicants must be Australian citizens and possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline Defence security clearance.
