Overview
BAE Systems Australia is seeking a dedicated Aviation Technical Instructor to join the Aircraft Sustainment & Training team in Wagga Wagga. This role involves delivering high-quality aviation training to the Australian Defence Force, supporting student development, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities

Facilitate and deliver aviation technical training for both Initial Employment Training (IET) and Post-Initial Employment Training.

Provide professional supervision of Australian Defence Force personnel within a simulated working environment.

Offer specialist aviation technical expertise and advice to optimize training outcomes.

Design, develop, and implement training solutions and supporting documentation aligned with operational requirements.

Build and maintain effective relationships with government, industry partners, and key stakeholders.

Maintain comprehensive and accurate training records.

Mentor and support trainees in the application of aviation best practices.
Candidate Requirements

Demonstrated industry experience as a qualified Aviation Maintenance Engineer (AME) and/or Aircraft/Electrical Engineer.

Substantial experience in Aviation Safety Regulations.

Certificate III/IV in Aeroskills, a higher relevant qualification, or a current EASA/CASA Licence will be highly regarded.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or previous experience as a technical training instructor will be highly regarded.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholder relationships.

Must be an Australian citizen, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance.

Eligibility to obtain a White Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).

Eligibility for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) clearance.
