BAE Systems Australia seeks a dedicated and experienced Post Initial Employment Training (PIET) Instructor to join their Aerospace business, supporting the Aviation Technical Training (ATT) project in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales. This is a permanent, full-time position within the Qualified Trades category, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the training and development of Australian Defence Force personnel. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering aviation trade and technical manager training. This position reports to the Training Design Manager.

The PIET Instructor will be responsible for facilitating and delivering technical training, designing and developing PIET training solutions, reviewing and assessing aviation defense policies and procedures, providing specialist skills and advice, supervising personnel in simulated environments, maintaining accurate records, and guiding and mentoring students. The ideal candidate will possess aviation industry technical experience as a ground maintenance engineer, C-E (Communications/Electronics) Technician, or a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician. A Certificate 4 in Aeroskills (or higher) is required, as is experience with or knowledge of defense policies and publications. Candidates should also demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. While not mandatory, a Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) or prior training instructor experience is highly advantageous.
