Job Description

BAE Systems is recruiting a Captain for our Part 91 corporate flight department based in Dulles, Virginia. The ideal candidate is a business aviation-minded individual who understands the importance of professionalism and operational excellence. Safety and passenger service are paramount in BAE’s flight operations. This position will require the candidate to serve as both PIC as well as SIC as assigned by the Chief Pilot, and perform all required duties and responsibilities outlined in the BAE Flight Operations Manual (FOM). Additionally, the candidate will have additional duties assigned to him/her by the Director of Aviation.

BAE Systems Flight Operations has a robust Safety Management System (SMS) in place which requires participation by all of our Aviation Associates. The job requires strict adherence to Company and Department SOPs and policies as well as internal and external training year-round.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Fixed-wing multi-engine ATP
  • 3,500 hours fixed-wing aircraft experience
  • 1000 Hours PIC turbine time (fixed wing)
  • FAA Class I Medical
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Able to travel worldwide unrestricted
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5,000 hours total time
  • 3,000 Hours PIC turbine time (fixed wing)
  • Familiar with IS-BAO standards and Safety Management Systems (SMS)
  • 5-10 Years VIP/Corporate Aviation experience
  • International operational experience, including North Atlantic Crossings
  • Gulfstream GV (G550) Type Rating and Operational Experience
