Senior Theoretical Knowledge Instructor
BAA Training, a leading provider of aviation training committed to delivering high-quality education and mentoring to future aviation professionals, seeks a skilled and passionate Senior Theoretical Knowledge Instructor to join its dynamic team. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing the effectiveness of training programs by delivering comprehensive, high-quality theoretical instruction to aspiring pilots.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver Theoretical Lessons: Provide clear and engaging instruction in EASA ATPL subjects, fostering student success.
- Mentor Students: Offer guidance and support throughout their course, especially during challenging phases such as internal final exams and CAA exams.
- Area 100 KSA Instruction: Instruct and assess students on Area 100 competencies, emphasizing key skills such as Mental Math.
- Assess Student Performance: Conduct comprehensive assessments, provide constructive feedback, and support students in their academic and professional growth.
- Monitor Progress: Track and evaluate student progress, ensuring they meet learning objectives and course requirements.
- Maintain Records: Keep detailed and accurate records of student performance and progress throughout the training program.
- Plan Course Phases: Collaborate with Ground and Flight School teams to organize and plan the various phases of student courses.
- Collaborate with Other TKIs: Work closely with fellow instructors to achieve high success rates for students in both internal and CAA exams.
- Review and Revise Training Materials: Evaluate instructional materials, suggesting improvements or adding relevant information as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Holds a degree or equivalent experience in aviation or a related field, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of aviation theory, EASA regulations, and ATPL subjects.
- Possesses an EASA-approved instructor certification.
- Has proven experience as a Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (TKI) or in a similar instructional role.
- Possesses strong communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrates proficiency in using educational technology and software platforms, especially Moodle.
- Excels in organizational and time management.
- Possesses the ability to engage and motivate a diverse range of students.
- Adapts teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and student needs.
- Is committed to maintaining and promoting a culture of safety within the learning environment.
