APS seeks an experienced Advanced Instructor to deliver world-class Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) in high-performance piston and jet aircraft, and advanced simulators. This full-time position is based in Mesa, Arizona, offering unique flying opportunities and a stable quality of life for accomplished professional pilots.
The Advanced Instructor will be responsible for delivering comprehensive UPRT curriculum, both on the ground and in the air. The role involves instructing owner/operator, corporate, business, executive, government, military, and commercial pilots. Initial instruction will be conducted in the Extra 300L, an unlimited category aerobatic airplane, with potential advancement to the S211 SIAI-Marchetti jet trainer. Following approximately one year of in-airplane instruction, instructors will also be qualified to teach APS UPRT programs in advanced simulators. Daily duties include flight instruction focused on upset recovery, stall/spin training, and associated all-attitude aerobatic instruction.
