Advanced Instructor - Upset Recovery Training
APS, a leading provider of aviation safety solutions, seeks highly skilled and experienced pilots to join its team as Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) Instructors.
About the Opportunity:
APS offers a unique and rewarding opportunity for pilots to make a tangible difference in aviation safety. As an Advanced UPRT Instructor, you will deliver world-class training in high-performance aircraft, including the Extra 300L and the S211 SIAI-Marchetti, to a diverse clientele including private, corporate, and commercial pilots. Your expertise will contribute to the development of safe and skilled pilots, ultimately saving lives.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive UPRT ground and flight instruction in the Extra 300L, focusing on upset recovery, stall/spin training, and associated aerobatics.
- Utilize advanced simulators for UPRT instruction after gaining experience as an in-airplane instructor.
- Conduct flight operations based in Mesa, Arizona.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1500 hours of total flight time.
- Extensive all-attitude, all-envelope flight experience (500+ flight hours preferred), demonstrated through experience in military flight instruction, tactical or fighter operations, aerobatics, or test pilot training with spin testing experience.
- FAA Commercial Single-Engine Land (SEL) Pilot's License.
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor Rating (CFI).
Preferred Experience:
- Two years of commercial or military experience flying crewed multi-engine turboprop or turbofan/turbojet aircraft.
- Two years of experience as a CFI or military flight instructor (200+ hours preferred), although this need not include experience in all-attitude maneuvering or aerobatics.
- 2000+ hours of total flight time.
- One or more type ratings.
