Avelo Airlines seeks qualified individuals to serve as Flight Attendants based in McKinney, Texas. This role is integral to ensuring passenger safety, providing exceptional customer service, and upholding operational standards for the airline.

About the Role

The Flight Attendant is responsible for the safety, security, welfare, and comfort of customers and crewmembers. This position involves responding to emergencies, supporting efficient flight operations, and completing necessary reports. The role emphasizes creating a positive customer experience, acting as a brand ambassador, and adhering to all Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. Flight Attendants will also support onboard services and sales initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Fluency in English, including spoken, written, and comprehension.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Must possess a valid United States passport or a foreign passport with applicable visas, with at least six months of validity remaining.
• Ability to travel freely between the United States, Canada, and all cities served by Avelo without restriction.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to report to the assigned base location within two hours.
• Willingness to accept and relocate to a base assignment at personal expense after completing training.
• Ability to work rotating schedules, including variable hours, extended duty periods of up to 16 hours, nighttime, holidays, and multiple days away from home.
• Must maintain a neat professional appearance and comply with Avelo uniform and appearance guidelines.
• Compliance with all DOT, FAA, and company drug and alcohol requirements.
• Ability and willingness to serve all types of food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain a working telephone number and current residence address.
• Must successfully complete all Avelo Flight Attendant training and maintain required qualifications.
• Ability to perform duties as outlined in the Avelo Inflight Services Manual, Flight Attendant Playbook, and company safety manuals.

Physical Requirements

• Vision of at least 20/40 with corrective lenses.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds from ground to waist.
• Ability to walk forward through the aircraft aisle without interfering with seated customers.
• Ability to secure all jumpseat restraints without a seatbelt extension.
• Ability to maintain balance while walking and standing in flight.
• Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, and crouch for extended periods.
• Ability to push or pull aircraft doors, exits, or carts with up to 100 pounds of force.
• Ability to assist customers during an evacuation.
