Airline Captain (Pilot-in-Command)

Key Responsibilities and Operational Duties
The Captain holds ultimate authority and responsibility for the safety and successful execution of all assigned flights. Essential duties include:
- Maintaining strict regulatory discipline by ensuring that all crew flight time and duty time limitations adhere precisely to, and do not exceed, the standards set forth in 14 CFR Part 117.
- Executing and verifying all necessary weight and balance calculations meticulously prior to dispatch. The Captain must confirm that these calculations are correctly applied to guarantee safe and optimally efficient flight operations.
- Upholding the highest levels of professionalism, crew resource management (CRM), and situational awareness throughout all phases of flight.
Minimum Professional Qualifications
Successful candidates must meet or exceed the following mandatory requirements. Preference will be given to candidates who exceed the stated total time minimums, demonstrating extensive experience in commercial air carrier operations.
- Medical Certification: The applicant must possess a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate, with a minimum of three calendar months remaining before the expiration date upon the commencement of the training curriculum.
- Regulatory Compliance: Must strictly meet the required flight experience standards specified under 14 CFR ยง121.436(a)(3).
- Pilot-in-Command Experience: A verifiable minimum of 2,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in turbine-powered aircraft.
- Commercial Experience: A minimum of 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) accrued in 14 CFR Part 121 commercial air carrier operations.
- Total Flight Time (Preferred): Candidates ideally possess a total of 5,000 hours of verifiable fixed-wing flight time.
