Possession of a valid EASA ATPL(A) or CPL(A)-IR, a frozen ATPL with ATPL Theory Credit, or an equivalent JAA license.
Holding a current CPL/IFR multi-engine rating.
Must be an EU citizen or possess a valid employment authorization for Austria. Other applicants will be assessed individually regarding visa compatibility.
Academic qualification equivalent to Matura, a vocational qualification examination, Abitur, or a subject-specific university entrance qualification from the country of origin; a study entrance qualification examination or technical college entrance qualification is not deemed sufficient.
Must possess an unrestricted passport.
Possession of a valid Class I Medical certificate.
Demonstrated proficiency in spoken and written German and English, with a minimum ICAO Level 4 in both languages.
Minimum height requirement of 165 cm.
For individuals wearing glasses or contact lenses, a visual impairment not exceeding +5/-6 diopters is acceptable; laser corrections are not permitted.
Candidates must not have been previously disqualified from an aviation psychology aptitude test for pilots (Ready Entry 'FU') at DLR, nor from the PIT/Sim screening at Austrian Airlines.
Candidates must not have previously withdrawn from Austrian Airlines Pilot Training.
Please note that the entire selection process is conducted in German, with no alternative language options available for testing.
