Aviation professionals are invited to apply for this exciting opportunity. The ideal candidate will possess an EASA ATPL(A) or CPL(A)-IR, a frozen ATPL with ATPL Theory Credit, or a JAA equivalent. A valid CPL/IFR multi-engine rating is also required.
Applicants must hold EU citizenship or a valid Austrian employment title. While EU citizenship is preferred, other applicants will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, considering visa compatibility.
A formal educational qualification is essential, such as Matura, a vocational qualification examination, Abitur, or a subject-specific university entrance qualification from the applicant's country of origin. A study entrance or technical college entrance qualification is not sufficient.
The candidate must possess an unrestricted passport and a valid Class I Medical certificate. They must demonstrate a very good command of spoken and written German and English, at least at ICAO Level 4 proficiency.
Physical requirements include a minimum height of 165cm. Candidates who wear glasses or contact lenses must have a visual impairment not exceeding +5/-6 diopters (uncorrected by laser surgery).
Furthermore, the applicant must have never been disqualified from an aviation psychology aptitude test for pilots as a Ready Entry ('FU') at DLR, or from the PIT/Sim screening at Austrian Airlines. They should have no prior history of leaving Austrian Airlines Pilot Training.
Please note that the entire selection process is conducted in German; therefore, no alternative language testing is available.
