Position Summary
The Flight Standards Administrator is responsible for providing high-level administrative and regulatory support to the Flight Standards organization and Standards Captains. The incumbent supports the coordination and tracking of FAA-required observations, Aircrew Program Designee (APD) currency, and fleet procedural standardization initiatives. This role is essential in managing Standards publications, facilitating FAA interface activities, and providing governance support for departmental meetings to ensure consistent operational execution.
Major Job Accountabilities

Provide administrative support to the Senior Director, Flight Operations and Standards Captains regarding regulatory interface responsibilities and flight standards initiatives.

Track FAA-required observations for APDs, including currency status and scheduling coordination with the FAA.

Maintain and monitor APD designation status and currency to ensure internal and FAA compliance.

Support Standards Captains in fleet procedural alignment and standardization initiatives.

Coordinate and track updates for Flight Standards manuals to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.

Manage the lifecycle of Standards-related documentation, ensuring appropriate routing, review, and approval.

Administer Fleet Standards meetings, including scheduling, attendance tracking, and record maintenance.

Maintain tracking for APD calibration activities to support evaluation consistency.

Serve as the administrative interface between Flight Standards and the FAA.

Assist in the preparation of documentation for regulatory inquiries and program oversight.

Maintain tracking systems to ensure Standards program visibility and compliance.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Director, Flight Operations.
Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize work in a deadline-driven environment.

Ability to handle sensitive regulatory information with professionalism and discretion.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to coordinate across multiple operational departments.

Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting airline operational or regulatory programs within a Part 121 environment is preferred.

Experience supporting FAA-related coordination activities is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management or a related field is preferred.

Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to Part 121 operations is preferred.

Experience with AIMS or similar airline operational systems is preferred.

Familiarity with Aircrew Program Designee (APD) oversight processes is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range:
$62,500 - $84,000 USD. Competitive compensation is based on factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and internal equity. The total compensation package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, an employee assistance program, paid time off, and 401K contributions.
