Astonjet | First Officer

Astonjet Limited, a business jet operator based in Saint Julian's, Malta, is seeking a qualified First Officer to join their operations on the Bombardier Global Express aircraft. This full-time, permanent position offers a 17/13 roster and is scheduled to commence in October 2026, with a floating base within Europe.

About the Role

The First Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the Captain in the safe and efficient operation of the Bombardier Global Express. Responsibilities include assisting with flight preparation, ensuring passenger safety and comfort, conducting aircraft inspections, supporting flight planning, and maintaining effective communication within the crew and with ground personnel. The role emphasizes fostering a safety-focused cockpit environment and upholding company service standards, with participation in recurrent training to maintain proficiency and compliance.

Requirements

• EASA ATPL Licence is mandatory.
• A valid Bombardier Global Express type rating is required.
• Minimum of 2,000 total flight hours.
• A minimum of 1,000 flight hours on jet aircraft.
• English language proficiency, with ICAO Level 5 preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Captain in the preparation and execution of all flights in accordance with company procedures and aviation regulations.
• Ensure the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of passengers during all phases of flight.
• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections and ensure all relevant documentation is completed accurately.
• Support flight planning, weather analysis, and performance calculations.
• Maintain open and professional communication with the Captain, crew, and ground personnel.
• Foster a positive, safety-focused cockpit environment and uphold the company’s service standards.
• Participate in recurrent training to maintain high levels of proficiency and compliance.
