Drone Videographer & Operations Support

Job Summary:
Join a pioneering team at the forefront of autonomous aerial delivery. The Drone Videographer & Operations Support professional is integral to visually documenting and actively supporting daily drone flight operations. This role requires a unique blend of technical aviation knowledge, operational field support capabilities, and a keen eye for capturing compelling visual content. The successful candidate will be a visual storyteller and a hands-on team member, contributing to the evolution of drone logistics in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture high-resolution, high-frame-rate video footage and photography of drone flights and ground operations.
- Document the evolution of drone logistics and operational procedures through visual media.
- Actively participate in daily drone operations, including pre-flight checks, post-flight logging, and airspace coordination.
- Provide essential field logistics support to flight crews, such as battery swaps, drone transport, and on-site setup.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams during flight testing initiatives.
- Capture data-rich visuals for engineering analysis and technical reviews.
- Provide hands-on support during experimental or technical missions, including documenting prototype testing and troubleshooting in real-time.
- Rotate between active operational sites, supporting experienced drone pilots.
Required Qualifications:
- Holds a valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
- Possesses a strong command of FAA regulations, airspace classifications, and safe operational procedures for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).
- Experienced in pre-flight and post-flight checklists, NOTAM awareness, airspace planning, and effective radio communications within a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and R&D teams to support flight testing, provide field feedback, and contribute to iterative development cycles.
- Brings deep experience in photography and videography, particularly with high-resolution and high-frame-rate shooting (e.g., 4K/120fps), capable of translating technical operations into compelling visual narratives.
- Willing and able to provide hands-on field support, including managing batteries, repositioning drones, assisting launches, and potentially piloting when needed.
- Thrives in a dynamic, startup-style environment, demonstrating strong creative problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Mobile and willing to travel between nearby sites, with flexibility to adjust schedules based on test flight and production needs.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Ownership and proficiency in operating high-end video/photography equipment, preferably a Sony FX3, A7III, or equivalent, with a professional-grade zoom lens.
- Skilled in post-production workflows using software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Previous experience documenting aviation, robotics, or other technical field operations, especially in fast-moving or experimental environments.
- Openness to flexible schedules, which may include occasional weekends or irregular hours aligned with test flight windows.
Compensation & Benefits:
The pay rate for this position is $30.00 per hour.
