Position Summary:
The Pilot in Command for the Gulfstream GV reports directly to the Lead Captain, adhering to all company operating policies and procedures. This pivotal role carries the responsibility for the safe and efficient execution of flight assignments, with paramount emphasis on safety, security, and quality. The Pilot in Command exercises full authority over all assigned flights and holds ultimate responsibility for the safe conduct of each flight operation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must possess an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with a Gulfstream GV Type Rating.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid FAA First Class Medical certificate.
- Minimum of 4,000 hours total fixed-wing flight time.
- Minimum of 1,500 hours multi-engine land flight time.
- Minimum of 2,000 hours Pilot-in-Command flight time.
- Minimum of 1,500 hours turbojet flight time.
- Minimum of 1,500 hours turbine flight time.
- Minimum of 100 hours night flight time.
- Minimum of 75 hours actual or simulated instrument flight time.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the aviation industry.
- Must be available to work flexible schedules.
- Must be willing and able to travel worldwide extensively, without any restrictions.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
Main Responsibilities:
- Operate the Gulfstream GV with the highest regard for safety, determining routes and/or canceling flights based on weather or other conditions.
- Ensure complete compliance with all applicable federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures during all flights.
- Implement any necessary adjustments as dictated by en route conditions to maintain adherence to company policies.
- Conduct all flights in a safe and prudent manner, aligning with industry and company best practices.
- Accurately complete all required trip paperwork according to current procedures.
- Maintain clear and concise communication with the Second in Command regarding all aspects of flight operations.
- Record and promptly report any aircraft discrepancies to the Director of Maintenance or their designated representative.
- Ensure that all flight crew members report for duty in proper attire and are mentally and physically prepared for flight.
- Maintain an extensive understanding of all aircraft systems, including emergency procedures.
- Secure the aircraft after each flight, including arranging appropriate hangar storage as needed.
- Obtain current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMS from authorized agencies.
- File or verify that a flight plan has been filed with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility.
- Thoroughly analyze area, enroute, and terminal charts for intended landing and alternate airports.
- Conduct mandatory passenger safety briefings or delegate this duty to the Second in Command.
- Mentor the Second in Command to prepare them for potential emergency situations or upgrades in responsibilities.
- Complete and submit the leg manifest and End of Day (EOD) report to operations control.
- Actively foster a culture of open information sharing on safety issues, and report all safety hazards.
- Report any hazardous actions or events to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- While the Pilot in Command may delegate duties, they retain full responsibility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Represent Assent Aeronautics, LLC both internally and externally with industry groups and regulatory bodies.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands of this role are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential functions. Employees are frequently required to stand, walk, or sit, with occasional climbing or balancing. The role requires lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Employees may work in both heavy maintenance environments and upscale customer areas. Noise levels typically range from moderate to loud, particularly during aircraft arrivals and departures. Employees may be exposed to vibrations and occasional fuel fumes. A willingness to work in all types of weather conditions is required.
