SA-227 Captain Cargo Pilot - San Angelo, TX

Ameriflight, LLC, the nation’s largest Part 135 cargo airline, is seeking a qualified SA-227 Captain to be based in San Angelo, TX (SJT). As a leader in the regional express airfreight market, Ameriflight provides critical aviation services to major cargo integrators and manufacturers across the United States.

Position Overview

This role serves as a Captain in the Fairchild SA227 Metroliner. The position is outstation domiciled in San Angelo, TX, operating routes to San Antonio (SAT) Monday through Thursday evenings. The schedule includes a layover in San Antonio with a return trip the following morning, totaling four round trips per week. Lodging in San Antonio is provided by the company.

Requirements

  • Must meet FAR 135.243(c) requirements for Pilot in Command (PIC) in IFR conditions.
  • Flight time minimums: 1,800 hours Total Time (TT), 1,000 hours PIC, 500 hours cross-country (point to point), 250 hours multi-engine, 100 hours turbine, 100 hours instrument (50 must be in aircraft), and 100 hours night.
  • Previous multi-turbine PIC experience is strongly preferred.
  • Previous FAR 121/135 experience is required.
  • Must have passed an Instrument Proficiency Check or 121/135 recurrent training within the past 6 months.
  • Commercial Pilot License (Multi-Engine Land) with Instrument Rating, plus High Performance and Complex endorsements.
  • First Class or Second Class Medical (First Class required for international operations).
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • Current Passport.
  • English proficiency.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. and travel unrestricted internationally.
  • Must meet airport badging requirements, including a TSA Security background check.
  • Must hold a valid Driver’s License and meet all company insurance criteria.
