EMB-120 Captain Cargo Pilot
Ameriflight, LLC, the nation’s largest Part 135 cargo airline, is seeking a qualified EMB-120 Captain to join our flight operations team based in Portland, OR. As a leader in the regional express airfreight market, we provide scalable, outsourced aviation services to major cargo integrators and manufacturers. This position offers a competitive annual salary of $97,091, with training projected to commence on July 6, 2026.
Position Overview
The EMB-120 Captain will operate flights typically scheduled five days per week, departing in the morning and returning in the evening, with lodging provided at the outstation. Pilots assigned to the Portland (PDX) base provide operational backup for the Spokane (GEG) location and may be required to undertake occasional temporary duty (TDY) assignments.
Candidate Requirements

Must meet FAR 135.243(c) requirements for Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in IFR conditions.

Flight experience requirements: 3,000 hours Total Time (TT), 1,000 hours PIC, 500 hours cross-country (point-to-point), 500 hours multi-engine, 500 hours turbine, 200 hours instrument (with at least 50 hours in an aircraft), and 100 hours night.

Previous FAR 121/135 experience.

Instrument Proficiency Check or 121/135 recurrent training completed within the past 6 months.

Commercial Pilot License (Multi-Engine Land) with Instrument Rating, High Performance, and Complex endorsements.

First Class Medical certificate for international operations.

FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.

Current Passport valid for at least six months beyond intended departure date (required for simulator training at the Flight Safety Paris Le Bourget Learning Center).

English proficiency.

Eligibility to work in the U.S. and travel unrestricted internationally.

Ability to meet airport badging requirements, including passing a TSA security background check.

Possession of a valid Driver’s License and ability to meet all company insurance criteria.
