Role Overview
This position focuses on the recruitment and onboarding of Flight Attendant Trainees within the Flight Service division. The Recruiter is responsible for managing the end-to-end selection process, including virtual and in-person group interviews, candidate evaluation, and administrative support related to training and onboarding. This role requires a professional who can handle sensitive information while serving as a brand ambassador for American Airlines.
Key Responsibilities

Facilitate on-demand video interview evaluations by reviewing and scoring responses against established criteria.

Lead in-person group interview sessions for high-volume recruitment, ensuring a professional and structured candidate experience.

Manage the interview check-in process, verify candidate documentation, and provide clear communication regarding process next steps.

Evaluate candidates against specific job requirements, maintain accurate scorecards, and update statuses within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

Collaborate with evaluators to ensure consistent and fair assessment practices.

Maintain thorough records and handle essential administrative duties, including interview space preparation and documentation management.

Develop and update interview training materials and conduct training for new interviewers.

Ensure compliance with legal and ethical hiring standards, organizational guidelines, and data integrity requirements.

Maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate peak interview periods and shifting recruitment demands.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum Qualifications

1+ years of experience in a recruitment, interviewing, or evaluator capacity.

Demonstrated ability to serve as a liaison across departments.

Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail.

Proven ability to perform under pressure, manage high-volume recruitment, and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of managing large groups.

Commitment to ethical and legal hiring practices.

Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SuccessFactors or large enterprise Applicant Tracking Systems.

Proficiency in Sabre, Excel, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Smartsheet.

Proven track record in high-volume group interviewing or recruitment hiring events.

Previous professional experience as a flight attendant or flight attendant recruiter.
