MH-60R Instructor Pilot & Functional Check Flight (FCF) Pilot
A highly skilled and experienced Aviation Professional is sought for the critical role of MH-60R Instructor Pilot (IP) and Functional Check Flight (FCF) Pilot. This position involves performing essential instructional duties and conducting rigorous test flights to ensure and demonstrate aircraft proficiency following maintenance or modification, while also providing comprehensive pilot training and ensuring ongoing pilot proficiency.
Essential Responsibilities
- Serves as a highly skilled MH-60R Helicopter Aircraft Commander, executing both instructional (IP) and test flights to evaluate and confirm aircraft operational capabilities.
- Provides expert pilot training and proficiency development for fellow aviators, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of flight operations.
- Collaborates closely with Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) designated FCF Pilots, offering comprehensive support across all phases of maintenance functional check flights, including meticulous pre-flight briefings, thorough in-flight checks, accurate post-flight procedures, and all required FCF documentation.
- Coordinates directly with maintenance contractors to facilitate in-flight troubleshooting of discrepancies, verify the effectiveness of maintenance actions, and validate repairs through systematic ground and flight checks.
- Guides and assists in the meticulous management of an approved MH-60R Flight Operations Program, ensuring stringent compliance with all Navy flight manuals, instructions, directives, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and local operational guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Possesses current designation as a Helicopter Aircraft Commander (HAC).
- Demonstrates extensive experience as an MH-60R Instructor Pilot (IP).
- Must have prior designation as an MH-60R Instructor Pilot and Functional Check Flight Pilot.
- Proven ability to perform all assigned duties independently.
- A minimum of 550 total flight hours is required, including at least 50 Helicopter Aircraft Commander (HAC) hours specifically in the MH-60R aircraft and 100 hours of MH-60R FCF/Maintenance test flight time.
- Holds or is able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
The successful candidate must successfully pass an aeronautical/flight physical. This role requires the physical capability to perform various activities including climbing, standing, stooping, bending, stretching, and crouching, as necessary to fulfill the duties of an active flight crew member.
