Functional Check Flight Pilot (MH-60R/MH-60S)

Aviation professionals are invited to apply for the position of Functional Check Flight Pilot, specializing in MH-60R and MH-60S helicopters. This role entails conducting test flights to evaluate and verify aircraft performance following maintenance or modifications.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will pilot and navigate MH-60R helicopters during functional check flights. They will also assist designated Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) Functional Check Flight Pilots, managing all aspects of maintenance check flights, including pre-flight briefings, inspections, in-flight evaluations, post-flight procedures, and necessary documentation. Furthermore, the pilot will collaborate with maintenance contractors to resolve in-flight discrepancies and validate maintenance actions through ground and flight checks. This position also includes guiding and supporting an approved MH-60R Flight Operations Program, ensuring compliance with Navy flight manuals, instructions, directives, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and local regulations.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a Helicopter Aircraft Commander (HAC) designation. A prior designation as an MH-60R or MH-60S Functional/Maintenance Check Pilot is mandatory; a current designation is highly desirable. A history as an instructor is also preferred. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform all duties independently. A minimum of 550 total flight hours, inclusive of 50 Helicopter Aircraft Commander (HAC) hours in the MH-60R or MH-60S and 100 hours of MH-60R or MH-60S Functional Check Flight (FCF)/Maintenance test flight experience, is required. The candidate must also possess a Secret security clearance.

Physical and Work Environment:

The selected candidate must pass an aeronautical/flight physical. This position requires the ability to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, and crouch.
