About the Role
The Instructor Pilot will serve as a critical member of the Amentum Air Force Division, partnering with the 23d Flying Training Squadron (FTS). Responsibilities include instructing flight students in academics, simulations, and practical flight training for contact, instruments, and remote operations in the TH-1H Huey II helicopter. This position is integral to the Air Force's premier helicopter flying training unit.
Requirements

Must have previously qualified as a U.S. Air Force helicopter instructor pilot.

CV-22 pilots who attended SUPT-H or UHT will also be considered.

Must have been current in U.S. DOD military aircraft within the previous 4 years, or within the previous 6 years if the candidate has completed 11 years of DOD military operational flying duty.

Must possess 1,000 hours of total DOD military helicopter flight time.

Must have 200 hours of DOD military helicopter instructor flight time.

Must demonstrate a working knowledge of all USAF flight regulations.

Must hold a current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate prior to the commencement of training.

Must not exceed 250 pounds while in flight duty uniform.

Must be able to successfully pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide proof of such authorization.
Qualifications

Previous qualification as a U.S. Air Force helicopter instructor pilot (CV-22 pilots with SUPT-H or UHT experience are also eligible).

Currency in U.S. DOD military aircraft within specified timeframes.

Minimum of 1,000 total DOD military helicopter flight hours.

Minimum of 200 DOD military helicopter instructor flight hours.

Proficiency with USAF flight regulations.

Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.

Applicants selected for hire are subject to government approval and the terms of a 12-month Employee Training Agreement. Successful candidates will be required to pass and maintain a U.S. Government background security check, complete training, and pass a government acceptance checkride.
