Amentum is seeking qualified candidates for a Helicopter Pilot (Instructor) position located at Fort Rucker, Alabama. This role involves providing instruction in the UH-72 aircraft. Prior military aviation experience or UH-72 qualification is not a prerequisite for this opportunity.
About the Role
As a Helicopter Pilot (Instructor) with Amentum, individuals will teach, coach, and mentor student pilots through intensive training programs designed to prepare them for military aviation roles. The position emphasizes a strong safety culture, building upon Amentum's extensive experience in flight instruction.
Requirements

Possession of an ICAO equivalent or FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate.

Possession of an ICAO equivalent or FAA Flight Instructor Certificate with rotorcraft category, helicopter class, and instrument helicopter ratings on both certificates, OR graduation from any DOD rotary wing instructor pilot course for rotary wing aircraft.

Minimum of 1500 hours of total flight time.

A combination of 100 hours of hooded instrument, flight simulator instrument, or weather pilot time.

Demonstrated experience instructing students in instrument flight training.

Minimum of 75 hours of night flying experience.

Minimum of 500 hours of instructor time.

A current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate must be held prior to the commencement of training.

For Basic Warfighter Skills applicants: must be Night Vision Goggle (NVG) qualified and possess 200 hours of NVG time.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide proof of such authorization.

Applicants are subject to government approval and the terms of a 12-month Employee Agreement.
