Helicopter Pilot (Instructor) – Fort Rucker, Alabama

Amentum is currently accepting applications for a Helicopter Pilot (Instructor) at Fort Rucker, Alabama. This role involves providing instruction in the UH-72 aircraft. Please note that previous military aviation experience or specific UH-72 qualification is not required.

Role Overview

Instructors are responsible for teaching, coaching, and mentoring student pilots through intensive training programs. Minimum Pilot Qualifications

Must possess an ICAO equivalent or FAA commercial pilot certificate and an ICAO equivalent or FAA flight instructor certificate with rotorcraft category, helicopter class, and instrument helicopter ratings on both certificates, or be a graduate of any DOD rotary wing instructor pilot course.
Total Flight Time: 1,500 hours (as Pilot-in-Command or Second-in-Command).
100 hours of hooded instrument, flight simulator instrument, or weather pilot time.
Proven experience instructing students in instrument flight training.
75 hours of night flying experience.
500 hours of instructor time.
Must hold a current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate prior to training commencement.
Basic Warfighter Skills Applicants: Must be certified Night Vision Goggle (NVG) qualified with 200 hours of NVG time.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide proof of such authorization.

Applicants are subject to government approval and the terms of a 12-month employee agreement.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is $55.85. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, internal equity, market data, and applicable laws.
