Amentum is seeking a qualified Helicopter Pilot (Instructor) to provide instruction in the UH-72. This role involves teaching, coaching, and mentoring student pilots through intensive training programs designed to prepare them for their future roles as military aviators. Safety is paramount in all aspects of the Rotary Wing Flight Training culture. The instructor will conduct flight instruction within an extensive operational area.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction in the UH-72 helicopter.
- Teach, coach, and mentor student pilots.
- Conduct flight instruction within a designated operational area.
Minimum Pilot Qualifications
- Possess an ICAO equivalent or FAA commercial pilot certificate and an ICAO equivalent or FAA flight instructor certificate with rotorcraft category, helicopter class and instrument helicopter ratings on both certificates, OR be a graduate of any DOD rotary wing instructor pilot course for rotary wing aircraft.
- 1500 hours total flight time. Flight time as pilot-in-command or second-in-command (per FAR 61.51); as Pilot in Command (PIC) or Pilot (PI) (Per AR 95-1) in aircraft of any weight or category is creditable for this requirement.
- A combination of 100 hours of hooded instrument, flight simulator instrument, or weather pilot time.
- Must have instructed students in instrument flight training.
- 75 hours of night flying.
- 500 hours of instructor time.
- Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate prior to beginning training.
- For Basic Warfighter Skills Applicants: Must be certified Night Vision Goggle (NVG) qualified and have 200 hours of NVG time.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to provide proof of such authorization.
Terms of Employment
Applicants are subject to Government approval and terms of a 12-month Employee Agreement.
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly Rate: $55.85
